2uo is Machado Mijiga & Mike Gamble, filling the sonic void with drums & guitar, respectively.

Inspired by '90s PNW grunge, early '00s progressive rock, and 20th century classical film scores, 2uo brings a retro-futurist aesthetic that confusingly groovy, yet unabashedly authentic.

This debut album is a collection of curated clips from a 2-hour improvisation at Color Therapy Studios in Portland, OR on February 22nd, 2024 (except for the bonus track, which is a remix of a test recording, waiting for our bassist, for a Color Therapy session in 2021)

There were no improvisation cues, but the excerpts chosen were giving off strong '60s/'70s Spaghetti Western/Crime/Blaxploitation vibes, so all of the titles are inspired by that overall aesthetic.

There were no overdubs, cuts, or production elements added to any of the tracks, aside from mixing/mastering; everything was completely improvised and performed live, in-studio.

This is 2uo's debut album, but Mike and Machado have been improvising as a bi-tet for nearly 5 years– this album was long overdue.
