about

Emanuel J. Burton. Manchester's finest.

I have actually never met Emanuel in person, but I have known him for nearly half a decade, and have been astounded by the bounds to which he has grown as a drummer and musician.

He is actually without access to his drum studio at the moment, but I knew that I absolutely HAD to include him in this project, so I built a track around two short Instagram clips of Emanuel warming up for a show at Islington Assembly Hall and tried to crudely paste the video/audio clips together in a way that wasn't too abrupt.

This piece is called "Tribes", and you might recognize the first part of the track from my Instagram Story, if you follow me. It's based off of the 2nd loop I created about a year ago with my current live production setup (Boss RC-505 + Roland SP404-A + Yamaha MODX6 + Pedalboard), but I added an additional section to tie Emanuel's 2nd groove together.
